okay, everyone around me thinks i'm crazy and says i should relax about this: My ceremony is at 1030 ,my cocktail hour starts at 1. we are already planning on missing the cocktail hour for pics, but i'm still worried that by the time we get to the hall (which is a 1/2 hour away) we'll only have about 1 and 1/2 hours for pics and that's completely missing the cocktail hour. is that enough time? my photographer (vinny from patken) says it's plenty, but of course i'm the bride and i'm worried. any feedback would be great! thanks.

I think that if it's possible, you should try to get a little more time in there. How long will your ceremony be? Factor in, you may run late. No matter how hard you try to be on time, you could still end up running late.
I'd say that even another 30 minutes would be helpful.

That should be enough time. We're using Patken too. Nick is our photographer.
Bride pictures at family home: 8:30-9:30 Groom pictures at hall: 10-11 Ceremony: 11:30-12 Cocktail: 12-1 (and take pictures) Reception 1-5 (everything is at the hall)
Don't stress about it. You'll be fine. 1-1/2 hours should be plenty of time.
