I just answered this on another thread - so I just copy and here's my response to her:
I'll tell you what I did that worked out pretty well.
My wedding was at 10 AM.
So I required my entire BP to stay in the hotel bridal suite with me (I used Wingate Inn - Garden City- the suite is big) I paid for the suite.
Anyway, the girls stayed on one floor w/me, while the guys stayed in the other suite with hubby. (we did NOT see each other at all, LOL)
A couple of the girls wanted their own room w/their hubbies so they paid for a separate room in the same hotel.
So in the morning:
4:45 am - our makeup artist JN came to the hotel bridal suite. I had a schedule of who went in 1/2 hour slots. For myself, I had a 1 hour slot.
I found a great hair stylist in Westbury 5 minutes from the hotel, so she opened at 5 am, and we went 2 at a time to the salon for the hair.
Note: The night before the wedding, most of us went to the salon and got our hair washed and set in curlers. We slept in the curlers and in the morning just had to get styled. This save A LOT of time. Then there were just a couple who needed their hair blowdryed not SET, so they did everything in the morning.
All makeup and hair was done by 9 am. I was ready by 8:30 so we started taking pictures then. The photographer was there since 8 and took some pics of us getting ready.
The guys left the hotel around 9:15 am and arrived to the church around 9:45 am. The girls and I left the hotel around 9:45 and were just about 15 minutes late to the Church.
That was fine by me, when we got there the guests were just getting situated and everything was perfect
So as long as you are organized and make sure to DO A TIMELINE SCHEDULE for the hair and make up you should be fine.
PS. There are sylists that will come to the hotel as well. I didn't need that b/c mine was so close.
Let me know if you have any more questions. You can FM me any time. Happy Planning
