Timeline for Bridal Shower & Bachelorette Party

We live in FL, but the wedding, shower, and BP will all be in NY.

I'm been seeing a lot of girls posting about their recent Bridal Showers, so I'm just curious....what's the timeline for these things?

How many moths before your wedding do you have the shower and how many moths before do you have the bachelorette party?

I'll have 2 weeks off in August from school, so FH and I are thinking to probably have our individual bachelor/bachellorette parties then...but when to have the Bridal shower remains a question...

Are you moving to NY after the wedding? Is there any way you can have the bridal shower in FL?

The reason being is that I'm having my Bridal Shower in CA because most of my guests (on my side) are from there... but, I am not looking forward to carrying everything on the plan back home with me.

I would definitely have the shower in the summer.

No, we are actually from NY originally, both FH and I.

We live in FL because I'm in grad school here and FH's business is here. All of our friends are in NY, so it will all be happening there.

I was thinking the summer too...possibly third week of June, right after my midterms...

Marisa,
You should have people put pics of what they got you in a box and give it to you during your shower. That's what I'm doing. I'm having everyone send the gifts to FL that way I don't have to worry about traveling with it.

I thought about telling that to my mom/SIL ... especially the big stuff...

My Bridal Shower was actually a little earlier than normal because it was a surprise (Jan 30th which is 4 months before the wedding).

My bach party is going to be the weekend of April 23rd which is 2 weeks before the wedding.

mine is very early about 6 - 7 months prior. Most people say 2-4 months before but I dont think it matters really. More time before the wedding means people don't have to gifts too close together

I would say about 2-3 months before also

My Shower is the thursday before my wedding. My family is coming in from Alaska so thats the only time we could do it. We will be doing a B-party that night too. But the big B-party is the last weekend of June.

My shower's a surprise but I'm assuming May or June...towards the end of July will be my Bach party

I think Bridal Showers are like 2 months before the wedding, and Bachelorette Parties 2 to 3 weeks, but it also dependes on the bride when she wants to have them

I have absolutely no clue about my bridal shower!! ..I did things backwards & we had our son about a year ago & that shower was about 3months before he was born ( thank god bc my grandma passed away a month later ) ..but I'm assuming the same thing for the bridal shower..
