I tried to make my first fitting appointment at Bridal Reflections and they told me it is best to wait until it's closer to the wedding bc many brides drop in weight.
I know this is true bc I have friends who said their dress was too loose bc they were so stressed out the last 2 weeks that they dropped like 5-10 pounds.
How far in advance did you start your fittings?

I was told about 6 weeks b4 the wedding for the first fitting

i'm going to BR too... my first fitting is 3/19 --- everyone I've spoken to at BR has a different opinion - do what you think is best...
I personally have a very busy couple of months, so I wanted to make sure I start the fittings early b/c I won't be able to go as it gets closer...

I had my first fitting in Jan. while I was in NY but am having my second fitting at the end of May which will be about 6 weeks before the wedding.

My wedding is in July (4 months away) My dress just came in-- I was told to have my first fitting mid- April (a little less than 3 months from the wedding date)

my first fitting will be mid may-my wedding is july 21....they do them so many weeks apart.

I too was told about 6 weeks before-but I am definately going to go and try it on as soon as it comes in-whether they do their measurements or not is their choice but I can not wait any longer to see it again!

my dress came in already to BR too. i think im starting mine in late June. so far the dress is def a bit bigger than i would want and i plan on being at least 5lbs lighter so they may need some time to take it in..
