Timing of the wedding is probably the biggest stressor.

11am-12pm Ceremony
12-1:30? Photos
1-2pm Cocktail Hour
2-6pm Reception

I am worried we are going to miss the cocktail hour and I was looking forward to mingling around and taking photos. I am HOPING we can get at least 30 minutes in the cocktail hour. Do you think it is possible? I have a small wedding party and as long as they listen I think it might be. Anyone have experience with this type of time frame?

This was my exact timeline sorta except we did a reveal! We took 1/2 hr to eat then the other 1/2 to mingle with guests & thank them for coming so we could enjoy the rest of the reception. Def take the time to eat in peace away from everyone and spend some time w/ each other :)

Where are you doing photos? Also, are you doing a receiving line after the ceremony? If so, maybe you should cut this out to allow for more time. I think you said you wouldn't want to do a reveal so that's out. It's definitely a crush, but as long as everything moves along on schedule, I think you can do it!

We are doing photos at the Church & then at the RH. We weren't planning on doing a receiving line because I knew that would eat into our time.

Are you expecting your wedding to start right on time? I'm under the impression that ceremonies always begin late.. If you hurry up after the ceremony (no receiving line) and hurry with the photos, you could probably get to cocktail hour.

My wedding also starts at 1130 we are doing pictures and the revel before the cocktail hour. I did not want to have to get up too early but sacrifices will have to be made. lol I too hope all of my bridal party will be up bright and early.

make sure you have a list of the photos you want to give to you photographer and coordinator if you have one. This allows them to get the pics done quicker so you all aren't standing around trying to figure out what pics you want.
