Timing...
So my ceremony doesn't start until 3pm. I've been trying to explain to my fsils who are my BMs that they simply do not have enough time to get their hair done at their local hair salon and make it to the venue in time for them to get their makeup done with me and be ready in time for pictures. There's simply no way I can see it working out (unless they magically open at 8 am and each one has their own stylist)especially since I know they are late to everything!! It's so frustrating having to figure this out with them, because they are last minute people and if they need to get their makeup done elsewhere I want them to know way in advance. So my question to you ladies is, if you're taking pictures before your ceremony, how far in advance do you plan for everyone to be ready?

Re: Timing...
I'm only doing a few at my moms. We won't see each other until I walk down the aisle. So far it looks like my hairstylist is coming to moms at 11, I have to be completely dressed and ready by 4, leaving by 5 to be at the hall by 6, with my ceremony starting at 6:30.Edit: There are 6 maybe even 7 of us getting our hair done and my make up.

If they are getting their hair done at a salon, see what time the salon opens. My sister has done wedding parties at her salons and sometimes the shop opens up early in the morning just for a wedding party, especially if it is a big party. I believe she's gone in as early as 6am a couple of times, maybe earlier.

We're doing pics before the ceremony. The ceremony is at 7 and we're starting pics around 430.

We are leaving to take pics at 3 (arriving at pic location by 3:30) and planning to take pics until around 5...our ceremony is at 6, and I want to freshen up and have a toast with my BMs before then.

Yeah, their salon doesn't open until 9am on Sundays and since it's just them and their mom (3 people) I can't imagine them opening that much earlier. The drive is going to be about 45 min for them. If they were punctual people I wouldn't be so concerned, but they're even late to their own events!!
So it seems 2.5 hours is about what everyone has prior to the ceremony. Thanks ladies! Seems like I guessed right, now I just need them to figure their stuff out haha!

My FSIL's wedding last August was at 3pm. We had to be there at 12 for pictures. I think we didn't start pics for a little while later. I think you either just say 'I need you there at 12:30' or you have to find them a place to get their hair/makeup done and tell them what time to be there. If you don't trust them, you just have to be very specific about when they are required to be somewhere. And you can always tell them half an hour earlier than you actually need them to be somewhere.Welcome New Vendors
