I havent booked my church yet,,,horrible I know,,,but just needed some opinions. I live in Holbook and will be getting ready at my house. Now say I decide to have my ceremony in Sayville. So,,,do you think it will too much to have guests go from Sayville to the Jericho Terrace in Mineola??? I will also have about a 3 hour gap inbetween, where people usually go home and change anyway. Just not sure if its rude to have guests travel that far,,,with that much of a time gap. As a guest would you mind doing that?? Also since its a friday night,,I know that some people will be missing out on the church anyway bc of work and stuff.

Re: Timing question !!!
How far of a drive is it? My ceremony is at 3:30 and my cocktail starts at 8 in Woodbury which is about 30 -45 minutes from where I live (Howard Beach) depending on traffic. I think you can go ahead with it. There is always a gap between ceremony and reception. Sometimes the guests go back to a relatives house or they just go home to change like you said. If it's what you really want you shouldn't compromise!

Re: Timing question !!!
People that want to be there will. Recently I went to a ceremony in Hicksville and a reception in Wading River. It was fine!! I wanted to be there and I went.
The day is about you and your FH and what the two of you want. If you like YOUR church (or his), then that it where you should exchange your vows!

Re: Timing question !!!
my church is in Howard beach at 2:30 and my CH at JT starts at 7:30
the latest i can push my church is 3 (confessions are at 4) so i am just leaving it. . . people will want time to change in between and that will lgive us PLENTY of time to take pictures so we can attend the CH
