Timing....OPK's

For those using OPK's....do you test in the morning....at night? If you test in the morning and get your surge....do you BD that night, or wait until the next morning (since O happens 24-48 hours after the surge???)

I'm wonding if my timing is way off and that's why we're having trouble. I usually test in the morning....and then we BD the next 2 mornings....but what if I got the surge the previous night....but only saw it when I tested in the morning...maybe I'm missing my O time

Here is what I do - granted I am not pregnant yet so maybe I should re-think?
I test in the morning, if I get a postive I BD that night - then I test again the next morning to see if the surge is still there, if it is I do it again!

I got the best results at 2pm. It usually reaches it's peak around noonish, not like pregnancy tests that peak in the morning.
Then we BD'ed that night. But it didn't work last cycle... now we gotta try again this one.

I have read in a few places that you should not use your AM pee to use your OPK that you will get better results using second or third. I tested the theory myself for three months in a row... each month the day I got my surge looked negative in the AM and blaring positive in the afternoon.
Also, I stopped using the expensive tests from the store and started buying ones online! I just got 25 tests for 14 bucks...way more economical than if you bought a box of 7 for 18.95 plus then you can start using them a bit earlier to make sure you catch your surge and you can take them a day after your surge to see if your levels go back down.

This is month 3 for us...praying and crossing my fingers.

Ok...well, I have testing in the morning...but using 2nd pee. I am using the clearblue digital....so it's easy to tell when the surge hits. I think if it doesn't work this month...I will try afternoon time for testing rather than morning. Thanks ladies
