Tip for photographer for engagement pictures

We are finally getting engagement pictures done on Sunday and I was just wondering if you tipped the photographer and if you did how much did you give.

Re: Tip for photographer for engagement pictures

Yes, we tipped. She did a wonderful job and was very patient with us. Also lasted about 1.5 hours and it was supposed to be only 1 hour. I did not feel rushed. We had small bills ranging between $30-$50 and we were so happy we gave $50. I also think that tipping your photographer starts you off on the right relationship on your wedding day. Our photographer is not the owner.

Tip for photographer for engagement pictures

We didnt tip either, but our photog is the owner of his biz and he is currently working from his home because his studio was closed by the fire marshall after the snow storm. That and we had some minor communication issues. Everything worked out though and our pics came out AMAZING! I may tip him a little extra at the wedding though to make up for it

Re: Tip for photographer for engagement pictures

We gave him $100 and I'm glad we did because he ended up bringing an assistant.
He is the owner and when we first met him he even mentioned that he would rather his staff get tipped than him so I'm sure he gave it to his assistant.
