Is it customary to tip the seamstress who does the alterations on your wedding gown? If so, how much is usually tipped? Is it a certain % of the cost of the alterations?

It is not necessary but I am sure they appreciate it. I do not think it is a set amount but I guess it depends if your dress was alot of work or how much you love your seamstress. I think I am doing about $25-50. Alot of time and work goes into altering our dresses.

I didnt tip the seamstress, trust they made a pretty penny off of my alterations. It was such a stressful thing for me...but I did however bring her flowers and a card for all that she did, she almost cried b/c no one had ever done that for her before.
Im sure it would be appreciated, I would give 25 if I was going to
