My fiance and I are getting engagement pictures taken. They are 'free' - included in our package. Do we need to tip our photographer???

That's a very good question. Another one I'd love to have answered associated with this -- do you have to pay for all prints for the engagement shoot, or are a certain number of prints free?

I knew that my e-pic photographer would also be my wedding day photographer so we opted to just tip him on the day of our wedding!

Our epics were done in the studio, so we didn't even think about tipping the photog. If they're on location, that may be different, but if the same person is doing both your epics and wedding, I'd say just wait til the wedding to tip.

We tipped him - we had such a great time & he was so laid back - it was a great experience (and i'm not good in front of a camera).
Ours were free as well - but we wanted to give him something for taking the time!
ETA: for the question on the prints thing - we received all of our pics on CD - which is what we had asked for. I can do what I want with them!

Personally we tipped 40 bucks. We had two locations...we were at a private beach and then went to adventureland..

thats really up to you...
FH and I did. we gave him i think $30.00, he was not the owner and came pretty far to do the pics.

I tipped my photographers 50 each. I believe the normal is 20.

You dont NEED to but I always tip everybody, I feel its the right thing to do

I agree if you're tipping do it all at once on wedding day!
