I have a string Trio for ceremony which Im planning on doing $25 each so $75 total.

We had a DJ and an MC and tipped both of them $100. We had a steel drummer for the CH and tipped him $50.

I'd say $75 max. Don't go bankrupt on tips!

I have a 9 piece band and each member will be playing for 5 hours - i'm planning on giving them like $25-40 each otherwise tips would be INSANE! they're already getting OT because they're playing 5 instead of 4 hours

Would you say $100 would be an appropriate amount for the percussionist for the 4 hours?

For the percussionist I would say to try and make note (or have someone like your parents or MOH make note) of how long out of the 4 hours he is actually playing. They don't necessarily play along to every song played so I would not give him as much as the MC and DJ who have been going non-stop all night.

maybe $75 for him?

Thats a good point. I think what I am going to do it $75 for strings, $100 for DJ, %100 for MC and $75 for percussionist.

Thanks girls!!!
