If you are not having a DOC, who is distibuting tips at the end of the night? Also, are you putting someone in charge of packing up your things at the end of the night?

I have a DOC but you can always have your maid of honor, best man or a close family or friend who you trust to handle that for you.

FI refuses to get a DOC unfortunately. He won't agree to one, so I'm leaving him handle the tips and last minute bills too.

I would assign someone trustworthy, usually MOH or BM, to distribute the tip envelopes at the end of the night. Make sure you have them made up the night before and who each one is for clearly written on the envelope. As far as your stuff goes, your Maitre'd and Bridal Attendant should be responsible for it. I would, however, give your MOH a list of everything you dropped off. At the end of the night have her go through the list with whoever packed it up and make sure everything is there!

I'm just concerned that the person that is responsible for the tips has to hold the tips the whole night.

I'm splitting the tasks between the best man and one of my bridesmaids. My maid of honor will help account for things that we need to bring back to our hotel after the reception.

Thats my issue now...everyone is saying one is not needed for CHCC and I had met with a DOC already which is a friend of mine and I dont want to go back on me booking with her...I feel soooo horrible

I gave the DOC's an envelope and a list that showed what envelopes they were given on the day of to distribute. I kept the final payment for the RH and their tip with my dad until the end of the night... so much easier because you may forget to tip people because I don't even remember seeing some of them leave!!
My DOCs packed me up along with the Bridal Attendant from the RH and then they loaded what they could in the DOCs car for a drop off to my hotel and the other stuff we were responsible for that night. I ended up leaving a large box and went back the next morning for it because we didn't have a lot of cars to pack since we had the hotel shuttle.
Remember, everything that you bring to the RH the week before must go home after the wedding!!! If you can, it may be easier to arrange to pick it all up the next day if the RH will do that for you!
