Good question. I am not to sure if I am going to tip tho. I mean you are paying for their service so why should you give them extra money. IMO.

Re: tip ? sorry to ask
I gave $50 each for DJ and MC and $50 for the photographers assistant. I think a lot of people will give 100 to the MC but he owned the company so that's why I only gave 50. HTH

Don't hold fast to this rule. Many times these vendors work for large companies and don't get all of the money that you are being charged. If your dj works for a large company and he did a good job, IMO, he/she deserves a tip for a job well done.

I'm confused? My place already has an 18% gratuity layered in to the pricing. I don't need to tip on top of that, do I???

You should tip the maitre'd and bridal attendant in addition to the 18% 'service charge' as most halls call it.

I know that many people have mixed feelings about tipping, especially when they are already charged the 18% service charge, but IMO if someone does a service for me, I am going to tip them. I know for a fact that the maitre d and bridal attendants do not get that 18%, so I will definitely tip them (probably $50 each bridal attendant and I am not sure about the maitre d yet). I will also tip the DJ and his assistant, as well as my photographer, videographer, 2 limo drivers, and the person who delivers my flowers to my house.

I agree with Hollie. For a lot of these people, most of their income comes from tips. They are doing hard work for not that much pay. If they are the owner of the company, then it is different.
