Tipping

I know that you don't tip the photographer if he owns the business, but what should I do about his assistant? We are paying for both dinners. My sister suggested $40. What do you think? Also, I am having a makeup artist and hairdresser come to me the day of. They are working independently, not with the salon for this occasion. Should I tip them too?
