Tipping.

I read a few posts about tipping the hair/makeup people, tipping the band, etc. what's the usual amounts for all the tips? I heard the maitre d' gets $3/pp and the bridal attendant gets $100. Other than that I'm clueless.

What if it's someone who works independently? Like a MU artist or Hair person (meaning not in a salon). Do you still tip?

Take a look in your RH contract...mine has a fee that's supposed to cover the maitre d and staff.

As far as hair/makeup, I think it's however much you feel comfortable with...hopefully they'll do a great job. I think most people give around $20.

Some vendors I'm not so sure if you need to tip. My limo vendor said gratuity is included...but if we want to give on top of that we can (I guess I'll decide that day depending on service). As far as vendors like photographers, florists, etc...I've talked to people that got married already and they said they didn't tip them because it's their own business...unlike a hair person who works for a salon and not themselves. I'd be curious to hear other people's thoughts on that.
