Tipping

Tipping

Does anyone know if it would be bad etiquette to give tips to vendors after the wedding day? All of our vendors are independent and we would like to send a more generous tip (then those I've seen recommended) along with a thank you card following our honeymoon. The time delay would be because we are planning to have personalized thank you cards made with a photo of us from the wedding. I wouldn't want the vendors to be offended the night of though if they didn't receive a tip. Any suggestions?

I don't think they'd be offended to not receive something that night b/c if they own their own businesses, people don't normally tip them anyway.

In my opinion I would tip your vendors the night of the wedding and then follow up after the honeymoon with your photo thank you card with an extra special message expressing your gratitude.
I'd be afraid the vendors might think that night that you were not happy with their services.

I dont think they really care about a 'formal thank u card'... its really nice that u want to do that but I think they just want your $$$$ lol ...that night, too
