Tipping after Makeup/Hair Trial

Did anyone tip after their makeup/hair trial?

Yes, I tipped 20% on all my trials.

really? If they're independent practitioners, isn't the whole fee going right into their pocket? Aren't we already paying enough?

If I'm wrong, please let me know b/c the last thing I want to do is insult the person who will be in charge of my hair/makeup on my wedding day!!

oh really? alright, good to know. Just curious where you found that information.

but at this point, it's the least of the expenses, so better to be on the safe side, I guess.

Thanks ladies, I didn't tip since I hired her onthe spot, and it's expected that I will tip her on the day off the wedding.

I think it's up to how generous you are. But I also believe that as we move forward with tipping everyone for everything, it's going to start becoming a custom and pretty soon everyone's going to feel entitled to a tip - 'oh thanks for holding the door for me, here's a tip...'

Tipping 15-20% of your budget on every single service you receive for your wedding is going to add up fast. :(

I tried to tip my make-up girl but since she was the owner she wouldn't accept it. I tip my hair girl both for the trial and the day
