I'm thoroughly confused about tipping the band. Assuming the do a great job, what's customary?
FYI, there are 6 members in the band.
Thanks!

Re: Tipping Bandmembers
I've heard it's about $100/band member.

Re: Tipping Bandmembers
We asked our bandleader. He told us that we should tip the ENTIRE band 5% of the total band bill and he divides it up. I assure you it was nowhere NEAR $100 per person. Our band was rather costly and we had 10 pieces. They were more than adequately tipped and not to mention they got paid INCREDIBLY well to begin with. Ask your bandleader. He/she will tell you what is customary.

Re: Tipping Bandmembers
I gave $30 per band member. I think $50 would be the top number I would give.

Thank God!! We have 10 people in the band and that would be too much!!!!!!!!!!! 5% would be around 350 and nowhere near $1000 which sounds better to me
