Tipping for alterations at the bridal shop?

The seamstress at Lillette's is an angel from heaven abobe! I was on medication that caused me to bloat ALOT at the time of my first fitting. She took out the seams so the dress would fit. When I went back, I lost allthe bloat and she put it back in! She didn't make me feel even slightly bad by the entire episode. I want to show my appreciation but I don't know what is appropriate!

Please help!

Maybe a box of candies or a nice Yankee Candle Jar.

As probally everyone on here knows by now my mom is a dressmaker. Normally if someone tips her it is cash or even a gift check depending on the cost of the alterations and the amount of work that is done anywhere from $25-$50. Believe me they are thankful anything that they get. Just make sure that you hand it to the seamstress and no one else b/c the other girls sometimes feel it is for them even though they didnt work on the dress and just carried the dress out to you.

Thanks ladies! I'm probably going with $50. I hope it shows my appreciation!

I never heard of tipping the seamstress. I usually tip everyone but I was not aware of this. Is this true? I have asked many people and everyone said no.
