I am trying to figure out all of my tips and I got stuck on hair stylist. Of course I will tip her, but am I also responsible for my bridesmaids? They will be paying for their own service, but for some reason I feel like they won't think to tip. It is the difference between $20 and $100 for me so I would love to know!
Also, my limo contract has 'gratuity included' but I know that really means to still tip on top.. Well then how much?
Need your opinions please!

tipping for your bridesmaids
I was just in a wedding and all the girls paid for themselves and we all individually tipped the person who did our hair. I never even thought about not tipping her. Since your bridesmaids are responsible for their own hair, I wouldn't tip for them. They're independently paying for a service.(just my personal opinion)
As for the limos, not sure what to tell you. We aren't having any. Maybe if you think the limo driver was super helpful give them like an extra $10-20?

I'm not tipping for my bridesmaids, hopefully they're smart enough to think of it on their own.
As for limos I have this: 10pax limo taking me and girls from massapequa to bayshore - $35 limo bus going from mass. to BS waiting then back to mass. - $100 shuttle bus going from hotel to venue in mass. and back - $50 Bently taking us from church to venue - $40 town car for us to go home at the end of the night - $20
hope that helps!

I was wondering this myself. Also I've read that if a vendor owns their own business that there is no need to tip them. Does this apply to hairstylists and make-up artists as well?

I'm most certainly tipping for my bridesmaids. I was in one wedding where we all tipped ourselves on top of the service and one where the bride made sure the tip was paid for by her and her family. It was SO nice to not have to pay that extra amount. When you're already paying over $100 (and it could be more like $150) it's nice not have to pay an additional $20-40 on top of that. These girls are doing YOU a favor and often times, you have made the choice for them of where they are getting their hair/makeup done and the price. The least you can do is pay the tip. I'm actually going to try to pay for either the hair or makeup, or subsidize both. Weddings are expensive for everyone involved-- I just want my bridesmaids to say, 'that was really fun!' and not 'wow, I just spent a ton of money and was totally unappreciated'. I also won't pick dresses over $150 if I can help it... I'd like to keep them as affordable as possible!
