Tipping Logistics

if you tip in cash who exactly do you give the tip too? for example if we want to give the photographer $100, do we give him a $100 bill? do we give him 2 $50 bills in hope he will split it with the assistant? do we give the photographer a $50 and the assistant a $50?

same for the dj.... do we give all the cash to the lead mc for him to split or give the mc a $50, and the assitant a $50?

what are other people doing?

I think we are going to make seperate envelopes for everyone (?) not sure yet.
I want to make sure the mc and dj get what they deserve and not that the mc decides to keep it all for himself

id make them each separate,
photographer, photo asssitant
dj, mc, dj assistant.... some people dont always split things...

if we separate the tips out what split would you suggest among vendors? ie; if we only want to tip the photographer in total $100 do we split it 50/50 with the assistant? i would think the photographer deserves more than half? i would feel very uncomfortable giving the assitant $25 and the photographer $75. maybe i'll do a 60/40 split

We are tipping everyone separetly. We are going to tip:
Matred' - $2 per person
Photographer - $100
Videographer - $100
Assistant - $50
DJ - $50
MC - $100
Makeup Artist - $30
Hairstylist - $30
Limo Drivers - $100 each (even though there is a 20% gratutity added to our contract)
Flower delivery person - $25

I was wondering the same thing.

I have a band though.
Do they each get an envelope?
there are 5 of them - one is the band leder.
I assume I pay him the balance, does he also get the tips? Separate from the balance?

We are going to give it directly to each person - hopefully the assistants can be found

I'm not sure what I'm going to tip. My best man will handle all the money that day. It's the little things like this that make your special day go so smoothly. I might tip in the beginning and then at the end if they deserve it.
