tipping on a trial

do you or did you tip for a makeup trial??

I didn't, but I booked on the spot and gave a deposit, and she's been a sweetheart.

No I did not. I don't think you tip for a trial run - in fact, I don't think we should have to pay for them in the first place (in other cities, hair dresses don't even charge for them!)

If the person doing the trial is a business owner than no tip is ever required. I agree with Stef- why tip if you to 'try' something.

i think you have to pay something because the person is definitely putting a great deal of effort into styling your hair...but it should be a nominal fee compared to the normal charge...

tip only if you like what she did and if you're booking the person, but don't go crazy...

I also agree, who do you have to pay so much $$$ to have a hair trial. I know I didnt pay anything for my make-up trial. I still tipped her though.

I was going to tip for my trial but I forgot to bring money and the nearest ATM was broken. I paid over $100 for the trial and I'm not using them anyway, so NO TIP FOR YOU!
