hey ladies my wedding is this weekend and I was just wondering is it necessary to tip photographer and videographer when they are working for themselves. Both owners of their company. TIA!

Re: tipping owners?
I did...IMHO...a tip is for a job well done...regardless of being an owner or not, but my opinion differs from most on this topic.

I agree, but I have heard other people say if they are the owner it isn't necessary. I'm not really sure what 'etiquette' says.

I agree, I think if the job is done well, and you are happy with what you got, than a tip is a nice gesture, IMO.

A tip is a nice gesture IF the vendor does MORE than what you paid them to do. If you tip just for a job well done - how on earth do you know how good or bad the photographer and/or videographer did until you receive the final product???
I am paying my vendors, and I expect them to do a good job. A tip needs to be earned by doing something more than a good job..
