Tipping priest

I have heard from 2 people now you tip the priest?? We are getting married in our catholic church and paying for the service. Do I tip the priest??? We got him a small gift but now do we tip too?

Tipping priest

We did not tip the priest. We did tip the organist and singer we had though. I think we are going to send some cookies or something to the general office at our church and address it to our priest and the nun who was very helpful in the process.

Tipping priest

I don't think so. We're paying an arm and a leg for the service. The only people I'd tip at the church is the altar boys.

Tipping priest

If I tip, I may tip the musicians. However, I have a friend who sings at weddings and she said while she would always appreciate tips, she usually doesn't get any. Musicians are paid by the church.
