Tipping question...

So I was discussing with FH last night about tipping. After the wedding do you tip the vendors that are running thier own buisness? Mostly all of my vendors work for themselves....not sure what the proper thing is to do...and if so...does anyone have a list of how much to tip generally? Confused in this area....
