Tipping question

Do we or should we tip the Photog and Videographer in addition to their fee? It was a bit of a debate at my FIL's house, we say tip, they say no.

Who's right? What have you already married ladies done?

I would say deffinatly yes. I am tipping them at the reception. They will be dealing with you long after the wedding preparing and producing your memories.
I think it is appropriate

I had only one photographer and one videographer. If there were two photographers, I'd probably have tipped them both the same.

Here is what I tipped:

photo: 100
Video: 100
bridal attendant: 125
floral delivery: 50/each
maitre'd - 700 ( we had a line item in our contract that took care of the rest of the staff)
BM- not sure, my BIL gave him something, but wouldnt tell me how much or let me pay him back. You are not really supposed to tip the BM unless you feel he goes above and beyond, then you can give him 100-150

Wow, this adds up fast!

Can I add a question to the mix? The makeup artists that come to you... I have one who owns the business and she'll be bringing two assistants. I know I definitely tip the assistants, but what about the main person? She owns the business, so in that sense I feel like I'm not supposed to tip, but on the other hand, I just feel like I'm supposed to. Does anyone know?
