Re: tipping question
Usually it should be $2-$3 per guest for the waitstaff.

Re: tipping question
Just a note-
I used to work at a Country Club and each weekend there was a different wedding. Just because you see 'service charge' or even 'gratuity' on your contract DOES NOT mean the wait staff sees this money. In fact, it generally goes to management.
I always worked thatmuch harder at weddings where the FOB,FOG, BM,etc slipped me at extra 20. It goes a loooong way! HTH!

Re: tipping question
fyi: The service charge was paying your per hour wage, thats what a service charge is.

Re: tipping question
I have to re-read my contract... I thought I understood it and all these tiping posts lately are making me 2nd guess my self...
is it wrong to actually ask the hall to go over the tipping stuff again when before we make our payment? I just don't want them to be like.. well she doesn't understand it.. lets tell her xyz...
Sorry, sometimes i'm a little paranoid...

It is not wrong to ask...they usually do this closer to the date anyway, around the final meeting. They will prob ask if you want to add it to your final payment, etc.
