Has anyone sent out the tips after the wedding? Like with a thankyou card? Or do you always have to tip the night of?
Also, how much do you usually tip the maitre 'd and the bridal attendant? I was told $75-100 for the bridal attendant and $3/per person for the matre 'd.
Thank you!!!

Re: Tipping question
We plan on tipping the day of just because it will more than likely be cash. I want to personally thank them the day of & hand them their envelope! I'd be nervous mailing it though just incase it gets lost or something.. HTH
I was told the same thing for tips too.

Re: Tipping question
And what if the photographer is the owner of the company? And one of the DJ's (the DJ not the MC) is the owner of his company? Do I tip them as well?

I have the same questions ... Do you have to tip if they are the owner?

Re: Tipping question
My MC was the owner and we tipped. Actually we put in an equal amount of money in an envelope for the DJ, MC, and Musician - so they could split it evenly, and I guess if the MC didn't feel he needed to be tipped, the others would've gotten a bigger cut--I guess we basically let him decide for himself.

Re: Tipping question
My photographer was the owner and I did not tip him. DJ, not MC was owner and I did not tip, but did tip the MC. I was told that you do not tip if it is the owner of the company. That said, I tipped people who do not normally get tipped because I felt that they had done such an amazing job on the day of.
