Tipping question for hair trials....

Ok, so I am going for another hair trial (my third, and hopefully the last) I have spent a lot of money on trials, along with tipping them...dont ask me why I did, they werent that good.

The trial I am going to next is very, very exspensive, but she really seems worth it. I am pretty sure I will be using her come my big day.

So, my question is 'should I tip her ?'

Does she work for herself? If so, I wouldn't tip her.

IMO if she does a good job, you should tip, owner or not- a tip is a show of your appreciation for a job well done.
I tipped the woman who did my trial for hair and make-up, even though she was the owner- she spend over three hours with me, re working things when I wanted to see something different.

I disagree....I didn't tip my make-up artist for the trial or the day of because she works for herself. She keeps all of the profit.
The only catch is if the hair dresser works for herself, but does your trial in a salon (like Denise Venti), then you have to tip because they have to give a cut to the salon.
Good luck!
