Tipping question on hair and makeup

Brides who put a deposit down that gets applied to the day of - did you tip on what your balance was or on the whole fee, including what you paid for the deposit?

Meaning if the service was $200 for the day of, and you left a $50 deposit leaving a balance of $150, did you give a tip based on a percentage of the $150 or the $200?

I didn't have to leave a deposit, but I would think to leave a tip for the whole $200.

I left a deposit for the DJ and I'm planning on tipping them on the full amount, not on just the remaining balance. I would think the same rule would apply.
