I did forget to mention that it is already in our contract with tips for the 2 Matre D's and the bridal attendant so the tips I'm giving them here are in addition to what's in the contract. You may want to check your contract as well to see if any tips are included or not.

Hey all, going to piggy back on this thread. Should you tip you photographer for your engagement shoot? Our e-shoot is 'included' in our wedding package, in case that info helps/changes the answer. Thanks!

hmm...we didn't for ours. I didnt think about it to be honest and the whole thing lasted 15 minutes. Our was included in our package as well.

Plus, we tipped him really good for the wedding and he's the owner so I'm sure it was fine that we didnt for the engagement shoot. lol

We tried to tip him for the E-Shoot but he's the owner and said to give it to his assistant instead so we did.

We had ours a month ago and we didn't tip him. We did however offered to take him to dinner after which he also declined. Fiance used to photograph weddings a lot and he said it's really not customary to get tips, prob the assistant.

I didn't. I was on the fence to begin with and then it was such an adrenaline rush I simply forgot. Honestly, I do not think it is necessary bc he was the owner and I will be tipping for the wedding. I feel like the tipping gets out of hand.

Is it necessary to tip the church? I thought I read someone had tipped them. But I feel like after the donation and extra fees for music (for 30-45minutes) is more than enough. Or am I being cheap and anxious about the amount of money that is being spent?

Yes, not sure it's really necessary to give tip for engagement shoot especially if its the owner. FH and I think we will give tips at the end of the wedding depending on how we feel about all the vendors. Probably 50-100
