Tipping the Band

We are having a 10 piece band and aren't sure how to handle tipping them. I know they are going to do an amazing job however, we are already spending ALOT of money and to give a decent tip would cost us a fortune. How is everyone else handling tips for their band? Any advise would really help. Thanks.

Tipping the Band

We fed the band (they continued to play with less people while they ate and it worked out very well) and gave one lump sum tip for the band. It came to about $15 per person. They were very appreciative. I think people overestimate how much of a tip is expected.

We had seven band members and we tipped about $75 per person, but we also fed them and sat them in the main dining room with our photographers. I think you should tip whatever you can afford.
