Tipping the priest
Anyone know what is appropriate to give to the priest and anyone else at the church working? (It's going to be a Greek ceremony - does that matter - does anyone know?) Thanks.

We got marired at the Catherdral by the Monsignor. He was not our original priest (long story), and the Monsignor stepped in for us at the last minute. Like VickiC, we tipped him $100 (and had to pay a $200 donation to the church as well). He did a wonderful job having only talked to us and never meeting us!! We gave each altar server $20. We also used the organist and cantor supplied by the Cathedral and if my memory serves me correclty, we tipped them $25 each (we also paid $200 to the Church for them as well).
We were married in a Greek church and were told up front that the chanter gets $50, the sexton gets $30 and the tip for the priest is discretionary. I believe our 'sponsor' (koumbaro) gave him $80.
