Might be a stupid question but do you tip before or after the wedding? Do you tip the officiant right after the ceremony? Of course, I will let the MOH and BM hand these out but I was just wondering.

we did our tips all after the wedding with the exception of our keyboardist. we tipped him during cocktail hour because he was to leave then. our pastor was invited for the reception so we tipped him during the reception. what we did is put out tips in envelopes before the wedding. one of my bms went around and did all the tipping during or after the reception.

Okay, that's what I was thinking that would make more sense. I just didn't want the vendors to think they weren't tipped at the last payment and not do a good job. lol so paranoid

Another tipping question..... is there a formula or something to figure out the percentage they should be getting? I dont know if theyre going to have assistants or anything so I'm assuming to just put the company name on the envelope and they will distribute to their asst if any.
But as far as DJ and Photo/Video, should I do about 10%? Or am I being cheap?
