Hi, I was reading about tipping vendors for your wedding. I didnt even think about this until I came across an old forum on one of the wedding sites.
I am getting charged tax plus a service charge from my banquet hall and catering company. Its a pretty high percentage I am being charged and I figure that covers the tips for them but how much should I be tipping my hair and makeup artist or the vendor I'm using for decorations and setting up?
Do I also have to tip my photographer/videographer?

Obviously tips are based upon service and your own opinion, but generally these people should be tipped:
Photo Video Band/DJ Limo Hair Makeup Maitre'D Bridal Attendant DOC Floral delivery Altar servers Organist Officiant (if not a priest)

EVen though you are paying a service charge at the hall you still need to tip the maitre'd and the bridal attendant. I think usually for the maitre'd it's about $3-5PP and the bridal attendant it's a flat amount.

In addition to that, do you think the tips are expected that night or do you think it is okay to perhaps send the gift to some of the other vendors following the wedding. It seems like a lot of money to carry on yourself the day of and a lot right before the wedding to come up with...

I would tip all of them at the end of the wedding. Besides photo and video all of them will have completed their services for you

I am planning on tipping everyone the night of the wedding
