for the envelope tips I'll be giving on the wedding day - should that only be CASH? Or is a check acceptable too? I'm just not sure if I wanna be carrying around that much money. A check makes me feel a little safer, even though I guess it's the same thing since it'll also be made out to 'cash'.
What did you (or ARE YOU) doing with this?? I'm not sure.

I am just going to do cash, give 1/2 the envelopes to my dad and 1/2 to the best man.

I think all tips should be cash. I'm seperating them into different envelopes and giving them to my mom to hold until the time comes to give them out.

I think cash is much easier, plus you can either add to or deduct from the tip depending on the service you receive that day. If you're worried about carrying all that cash on you, try to put different people in charge of holding onto the tip for each service - this way it's spread out amongst people rather than one person carrying it all.

thanks for the advice. I'm just gonna go with Cash. I'll probably put all the envelopes in my purse (which my mother or another family member will be carrying that day & night). It still does make a LITTLE nervous to have that much cash sitting there in my purse though, but I guess I'll just have to deal. We'll have our eye on it. There's a lot in that purse that I'll be needing throughout the night. I'm just that type of person

We did all cash. We gave them to my Brother In Law -- he was in charge of the distributing them too (it was one thing neither of us wanted to worry about).

We gave cash...I know what you mean about being paranoid about so much cash but I honestly think that there's no way around it...I would have preferred giving checks too! We gave our envelopes to my Dh's best man.
