Matre'd $450 BA $100 Photographer $200 Videographer $200 DJ $400 Alter Boys $15 each
Limo is included, makeup is costing $175 and hair is $450 so I personally don't see the need for a tip there when it's being pocketed.
Anything else I'm forgetting?

Re: Tips
I know I'm cheap But some of those seem a bit high to me. $400 for the DJ?? Seems really high to me. I would give $100 to DJ, videographer, and photographer. The others sound good. You also left out the florist and servers if it's not included in your contract

Re: Tips
how many people are you having? (just wondering bc of the Maitre'd tip)
and i agree that 400 for the dj sounds like a lot.

Re: Tips
How are you girls calculating your tip for the maitre'd? I'm assuming the maitre d shares it with the serving staff. So are you doing 15%? Are you still doing 15% if there is a service charge on your bill?

Re: Tips
I just asked this question. Servers are not included in my contract so I was told 10% of total to split as we wish between everyone is good.

Re: Tips
you're really tipping videographer and photographer?
I'm debating if i should tip - since they own their own business...
I may tip the hair/makeup person $50 or something not sure...

Re: Tips
I think that is a lot for the DJ, Video and Photo... How many people is your DJ brining with him? I would do $100 each for the Photo and Video.

Re: Tips
Oh wow, too much? For the maitre'd it's suggested $3-$5 per person. We have 158 people, so that came out to $474 so I lowered it to $450
DJ I'm having percussionist, zap shots, technician, mc, and dj. Spending 3,500 on package so maybe just 10% which would be $350?
Video I have two videographers all night. It's their own business though so I guess the $100 is good.
Photographer contract says 10% on contract and I'm paying $4,300 so I thought $200 would be good.
Definitely don't want to overtip though.

Hi Date Twin,
I'm planning on doing $3 per person but we lowered it to $500 (unless they do really well then we'll raise it)
DJ/MC per contract it says 15-20% so about $350
Florist about $50
Hair & Makeup $50-90 (not sure yet)
Photographer & Videographer - did anyone NOT TIP?
Limo - $20

Re: Tips
i feel like my tips were a little lower than what i've seen a lot of girls tip on here but a lot of my vendors owned their own businesses...
maitre d- i tipped $3 per guest BA- $100 3 Photo/ 1 Video- $50 each person (also we fed them all) DJ/MC- $50 each (fed them as well) Steel Drum Guy- $25 Bagpiper- $25 Limo guys- grat was included but we gave them each $25 extra for tip Flower delivery- $20 Hair & Makeup- my mom took care of, so i'm not certain
For Church we were required to tip: Altar Boy- $20 Sexton- $25

Re: Tips
I'd take $300 or maybe $250 off the DJ and give it to the maitre'd. He deserves it more!
