Im getting ready to look for BM dresses. Any tips on how to handle things? Im afraid one or 2 of my girls will hate the dress... im doing tea length sage, and have brought 2 of the 6 to try a few on...and they loved it....all girls are about the same build. any pointers? etiquitte? Thanks!!

Have a color plan scheme and a length height and you should be fine.
I had each of my girls (5 total, one pregnant and one hoping to get pregnant) each pick out 2 - 3 dresses based on the color and lenth and had them all try each others on.
By process of elimination they all agreed on what looke dbest on all and narrowed it down to pick the final from there....

It's your wedding - pick what you like. It's almost impossible to make everyone happy and to find a dress that works well for everyone, so try to keep in mind things that will flatter as best they can everyone and find something you think is nice. The BMs might not like it, but if they're good friends they'll wear it with a smile!

well said... my BM said they same to me.... whatever you like its your wedding...i showed them the two that i liked and got their input and went with that!

I agree, it can be nearly impossible to have everyone agree, so as long as you think it'll look good on all and you're happy with it, go for it! As my BM told me when I was debating whether or not everyone would like a dress, 'weddings are a monarchy, not a democracy.' HTH!

My fiance & I went looking at dresses about a week before I was going with the girls for their dresses. We picked out a couple of things that we really liked. When I went with the girls I had the person in the shop bring over my 3 favorite styles and the girls looked to see if there was anything that they liked and we ended up with my favorite choice. It went really well.

I see your wedding is a ways away, I have been looking at BM dresses for the past year to get ideas and noticed that there are always new dresses being added. I think it is a great idea to start looking early, but I think it is also a good idea to wait till about 6 months before the wedding to order them so that you don't miss out on any new ones that may come out. But it also depends on what you feel comfortable with.
