I know most of us are a long way off from doing wedding invites but I was told by one of my friends to number the back of the RSVP cards with corresponding numbers on your guestlist because sometimes people forget to put their names and just check yes or no. I've never heard of this but my 2 bfs who got married a couple of years ago said that would have helped them out alot.

My friends just did this my FH was actually insulted cause our was number 157 he don't like the idea. We are trying to come up with a different idea but i have seen it done

I was just talking with my calligrapher and she told me this, I never heard of it either....but its an excellent point.

buy an invisible pen. That way only you will know the number on them.

yes definitely do it! i will probably be putting a small number on the inside of the response card before i send them out w/ the invite... i cant tell you how many blank cards my sister got back w/ no name!

I'm also planning on getting an invisible pen. I did a search and a lot of girls ordered it from here . Some also ordered from Amazon.
And one bride made a good point - if you're using the invisible pen, don't bother with numbers. Just write the person's name on the back!

i think you can also get the invisible ink pen from like toys r us....in a 'spy' kit. then you can give the spy kit to your pillow boy
