To all my ladies who did or will do Pre-Cana.....

Original post by AmorPeruano

Did you do Pre-Cana at the church you are getting married at or did you do it somewhere else??

And if you did it at some other church.....was it a church listed in the Diocese of Rockville Centre booklet they give to you, or no??

How much was the fee you paid? Ive seen anywhere from 50 dollars to a couple hundred.

I was wondering if it is possible to do Pre-Cana at a church other then the one you are getting married at or any of the 4 or 5 they list in the booklet they give out....I cant believe the Diocese program is 250 dollars!!!!

We did Pre-cana at Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa. There was no fee for it! They have Pre-Cana every month excpet July and August! We went back in march and it was great. It's a full Saturday from 8:30-5 but it's over in one day! I can give you the numebr if you want

We did it through the church in the parish we currently live in (St. Bernards). We're getting married at the parish I grew up in.

ETA: We went every Saturday night for 1 month from 7-10. It was $50 I think.

I paid 250 I believe. We did it at the church we got married at, but most of the other couples were getting married at a different church.

There is a weekend program and it was hundreds of dollars.

We are doing it through a parish down here in the DC area where we live. It is $150 for 5 weeks (and one Saturday where they will give us a version of FOCCUS; haven't figured out yet, though, if we will still need to do it for RVC...)

We are doing it through RVC.

ETA: I heard there is a free one day one in Massapequa, but I do not remember the name of th echurch.

We did the 1 day free Pre Cana at Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa. They have it 1 Saturday a month. You do not have to be getting married in that church.
