Thank you very much, too many not so good reviews so that makes me a little uneasy. How about giving me your recommendations for places that you liked and that I should go see. Please not too pricey and not too far out on the Island, for a minimum of at least 200 people. I look forward to all your responses and again thanks.

Have you tried the Meadow Club, Port Jefferson Country Club, Watermill (might be pricey for a Sat. night) John Anthony's?

I am getting married at The Hamlet in Hauppague but I think 200 people is too many for the room.

I live in Ronkonkoma also and I am getting married at John Anthony's. We have about 180 but they can seat up to 250 I belive. We priced around and they were very resonable. For a Sat they gave us I think $85. We did a Friday in October to save money. My best friend just got married there last year and it was perfect!!

I recommend Villa Lombardi's since that's where I chose to have mine. You can get their information from their website at www.villalombardis.com.

They have a good reputation really good food, especially the cocktail hour and good service. Prices vary. They can hold up to more than 300 people I believe.

I tried the food at Windows on the Lake at the liwedding bridal expo last week and the food was AWFUL!!!! Way too salty, and had no taste. I was not impressed. Also, a word of advice.... check out the hall before booking thru the Better Business Bureau, I almost booked Huntington Town House and they have been sited 38 times!!!! Good luck!

I am getting married at John Anthony's and have heard only WONDERFUL things about them. We are also having over 200.

KYTTIKE- I know what you are talking about!

My friend was at that wedding and she had a terrible time! (ended up in the hospital for the weekend and she was the maid of honor!) As far as I know, lawsuits have been settled, but I would not trust my health to them. That's just my opinion from her story.

The Meadow Club

We are having our wedding there. www.themeadowclub.com The place is very nice, the food is great, and I have heard only good things about them. Their big room holds up to 250. Prices were very reasonable - under $100 for a Saturday night. I am paying $85pp for a Sunday night for the better menu (which includes full Viennese hour and 3-hour limo service)

I have never been to either one, I heard the food at Swan Club is bad also. I went to see Chateau Briand, Huntington Town house- which is in bankruptcy, Crest Hollow, Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor,Manor East which smelled like dirty underwear and had roaches, Tivoli Terrace, Woodbury Country Club, Savinis CrystaL brook. I took Chateau Briand it looks like the inside of a old cruise ship. The place was beautiful. Check with the BBB beforehand.I hope this helps

We are getting married at the Wyndham Windwatch in Hauppauge. The ballroom holds at least 300 and the food is really fantastic. The grounds are beautiful as well.
