We really love the fact that LIweddings has you guys here to help us with everything we need. We really really are grateful for it all. It's like a one stop shop for DJ's, Halls, Photographers.. everything!
However, we also love the fact that liweddings allows the brides to post their opinions about their experiences with vendors because it helps us out a lot! If the review is great then great! If they state some things that are/were troublesome to them that's their opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
If someone is going to outright bash a member i agree that is 100% wrong. I would suggest FM for that to individual people. But if people are just stating some concerns then that should be fine. Brides and their FH's should not receive phone calls and emails stating that you didn't like their opinion. Honestly, when i hear about certain companies contacting brides because of their opinions THAT would make me think twice about booking that vendor NOT the original concern the bride had.
I would think that most vendors would take the concerns as constructive criticism and correct any misunderstandings. (Which i'm sure some of you do).

Thank you! I totally agree! I think perhaps the vendors should get to defend themselves online. If a bride posts a negative comment, not only should the post not be deleted but the vendor should be able to reply. Kind of like tripadvisor, where the hotel management can reply to negative hotel reviews.

P.S.....PLEASE do not post on here as a fake bride recommending your services!! We can sniff you out better than any dog looking for a steak... ALL it does is make us lose respect for you as a vendor! Be patient...if you provide great service at a reasonable price, word of mouth will eventually do the advertising for you

I agree 110% I really hate the fact they do that, yet when you praise them or actually free advertise them on this website they dont contact you!

They are crazy. There is one vendor who is so insecure that this vendor not only lurks and reads every review about the company, my friend has been asked no less than 6 times why we booked with a different company.
We use this as a tool, to help us get ACTUAL opinions of vendors and real life experience. If someone has a valid concern, they have the right to post it. If its only going to be allowed that 'positive experiences only', well, realistically, we won't always get that. People will have concerns about things that happened, and as a heads up to make sure it doesn't happen to others, should be able to post about it.

Are you kidding this actually goes on? If they provided bad customer service or their product is not good or good enough - this is our wedding we need to know so that we have all the necessary information to make an educated choice about our vendors.....

ITA...if someone had a bad experience...they should be able to share and the vendor could then explain or defend what happened. It should never get personal to the point the bride receives a phone call.

i would actually respect a vendor alot more if they responded to a thread and said 'we are sorry you did not have a good impression of us' and tried to offer an explanation or something.
I mean, everyone has an off day. And we all know us brides can get ulta sensitive about some things, so sometimes it can be just a misunderstanding.

The problem with that is I dont believe the vendors are allowed to post on the Brides forums, they can on the Vendors helping Brides and they can FM, but I dont think they can directly respond.
I have seen it once, but the vendor posed as a bride, and it wound up a cat fight
