At the end of the day, Does it really matter if you have wine at the head table?
Im thinking of having beer!! I purchased a bunch of decanters and im going to give everyone the chose of red white or wheat lol. Then if they choose wine they get a wine glass with their name on it If they choose wheat they get a stein with their name on it
What do you think? I like the idea but I would Love to know what you guys are doing
Im not a beer gal myself (Ive tried hard but I cant make myself like it) but the beer stein is really cute! So is the glass!

Re: To Beer or not to Beer
honestly not sure if its a great idea. Alot of ppl don't drink beer, especially alot of older women, my mom wont even think of touching it. I like beer but then again sometimes im not in the mood for it and i'd rather have a drink.
but most importantly not everyone is a beer drinker

duh i didnt even notice that part lol
if you do mean your bp then you know them best so you'll know what they will like or not like...so if this is something they all would like and all of them drink beer then that is fine

Re: To Beer or not to Beer
I am giving out Pint Glasses as the favors and i realize not everyone drinks beer but i have soo many pint glasses we use them for soda, water, EVERYTHING. Honestly you can't go wrong with a glass.
I LOVE the one on the right - it is classy and great for wheat beers. I mean its not a belgium beer glass but its so damn pretty. the mug is great always - classic but not weddingy which isn't so much of a problem.
Where did you find the one of the right - do you mind me asking?
SO my vote is if people don't drink wine on your head table then get them a nice beer glass.
We are also leaving some blank and left over monogramed pint glasses up with the bartender to serve guinness in and I know about 75% of my bp is taking one to drink out of we had purchased clover wine glasses just for the champagne for the toast otherwise we drink out of our pint glasses.

Yeah, Im doing Wine on all the tables, If the guests want beer we have the bar open, and thats fine with me.
Head table wont be able to get up as easily and I want them to be comfortable.

Re: To Beer or not to Beer
I would do it for my BP table, all my friends drink beer, but I wouldnt do it for every table, my family are BIG wine drinkers and they have to have wine on the tables. Guests will have the option to drink whatever they please, beer will be served at the open bar

The wine glass is a boontje wine glass, I added on the engraving using photoshop. Its something I would send away for
The Beer Stein is from http://www.thingsremembered.com and its a pretty good price

we're not having a head table, but we're not wine drinkers, we prefer beer. so we probobly won't have your average toasting flute or anything.
i love your idea, i think it's really cute and sweet. i love both the glasses you chose too.
