We are gonna need to go to thursday night (we only have 130 people coming and maybe even less). I am fine with it but FH needs some convincing. I think if I bought him a new toy he would agree. I know he wants a GPS badly. I hope I don't handle my kids this way lol....

my sister is a teacher and her and her FH are getting married the day after xmas this year, and then leaving for a week long honeymoon the day after.. she also got a better price at her hall because she booked in december.. so its definitely doable to have a wedding over a school break!

Winter is out because FH teaches and he wants a long honeymoon and time to settel into married life. And sundays are a no because our pastor does not do weddings on sundays and we must have our pastor.

Do what we are doing -- have your wedding on President's Day 2010, a Monday -- you get cheap winter and non-Saturday rates, the minimums were also much lower, and FH should have that whole week off from work anyway. Then maybe he can take an extra week off after the President's Day vacation week and you have created a 2 week vacation for your HM plus saved a ton of $$$$.
