Usually in church you have the train....and then you bustle it when you get to the reception so you can dance!!!!!!!!!!

I was told you have the train out for the ceremony and first dance. I think I'm supposed to hold my train over my arm while we have our first dance. Then it gets bustled for the rest of the night.

I think you bustle it after the ceremony. But I have the same issues as you -- I'm worried about it getting wrinkled in the limo.

That's right, I think. But my train was so darn heavy, I took it off after the church.

i think it gets bustled after the first dance...my gown has finger loops on it to hold the train up during the dance and while walking around on stairs, etc.

Re: to bustle or not to bustle?
You're supposed to bustle after the first dance but FH and I are doing a choreographed first dance and there's no way I can carry the train over my arm so I think you should do what is best for your circumstance

This is what I did and for those of you worried about sitting - I never really sat back in the limo - my dress was kind of just smooshed up behind me, if that makes any sense

Re: to bustle or not to bustle?
I bustled after the pictures and before the reception. I wanted the train in my pictures, but I didn't want to dance with it. So for my first dance it was bustled.

I bustled as soon as I got out of the ceremony. I can't imagine having dealt with the train through all of CH and the first dance

Re: to bustle or not to bustle?
I bustled only right before we were introduced in the reception... You usually take pics of it before the reception unbuslted...
and i think dancing your first dance without it will look weird..

Yeah this is what I am doing, esp. if it is nice out and we get to go out on the boat at CHateau La Mer before cocktail hour....wouldn't want the train down there.
