to carrot cake...or not to carrot cake...w/poll

Dh an i love carrot cake. Out RH has an ice cream dessert course, and a 3 -tier tray of cookies/fruit/pasteries...

We are really considering to choose carrot cake..but are getting mixed feedback from our family. What do you think?

I went to a wedding where they had carrot cake once. It was so good and different! I say go for it.

I ordered carrot cake for my wedding. brides are typically nervous to get carrot cake, but I don't know anyone that doesn't like it. Most people are happy I ordered carrot cake because everyone is bored by the typical wedding cake! Every wedding I have been to, noone eats the cake! So I am going to try something different!

I love carrot cake!! You just have to make sure that no one is allergic to walnuts, My FH and I thought about it, but he's allergic.

We're having carrot cake as our wedding cake. Anytime I tell someone they are all oooooh ahhhhh yummy!
It will be a hit! If there are a few who don't like it, they can always enjoy the other tasty treats

I'm not a big fan of carrot cake at all, but FH loves it. With all your other options available to guests why not go for it if it's what you both love!

As someone who doesn't like it, I say don't...it's too 'different' for the general public. I base my experience at a wedding on 3 things: the food, the fun and the cake. the cake is the last thing i get...so i leave with that thought in my mind the most.

I say go for it. Its a different choice...for those that don't like carrot cake there are other desserts that they can eat...

What are you suppose to do - take a survey from all your guests to see what cake they prefer...you'll NEVER please everyone...your wedding your cake choice...

With all of those other dessert options, I'd say go for it! I would love to have carrot cake but, FH doesn't like it

We had a 50th birthday party for my aunt and had a carrot cake and a regular cake. Every piece of the carrot cake went so you'd be surprised how many people like it!

I hate to say this becuase I'm usually a supporter of a whatever the bride wants is OK but as someone who loves carrot cake but firmly believes that all wedding cake should be yellow cake w/ chocolate and/or fruit filling and regular old icing, I have to say that I'd be a little disappointed ..of course this is just my opinion though..
