To change or not to change???

To change or not to change???

This is a little complicated, sorry if its confusing.

First, we are getting married at the RH, so we were not going to have a formal rehearsal. But we are planning on having a RD, to do a run through of the ceremony and so that everyone in the bridal party can meet each other. Because our wedding is on a Saturday morning (11:30) and some of the bridal party is from out of town, we were planning on doing the RD a 3 weeks before the wedding.

Second, I found out when my shower is, even though its supposed to be a surprise. The date we picked for the RD is the weekend after my shower (which is a Sunday brunch).

FH just called and said our officiant will be away on the date we picked for the RD - not really a biggie - he's a friend and we could meet with him anytime to go over what we want. But, FH asked me if I want to change the date of the RH to the week before, which would be the Saturday before my shower (on Sunday),and 4 weeks before the wedding. I'm thinking it would be good in a way, because then one of my BMs and her daughter (FG) who are OOT, would already be here. But, I'm a little worried that a Saturday night party the night before my shower (which is a brunch), might be too much. Any thoughts? Would you change the RD to the same weekend as the shower or just leave it for the next weekend?

I guess i would leave it for the week after because 4 weeks before the wedding seems to early for me and people are likely to forget what they have to do

I know - that's what I was thinking too.

I'd do it the night before. If you have some OOT'ers in the bridal party, you'd be asking them to travel in 3x in 4 weeks. This way, it's only 2x.
