thoughts? I would really like one, just to have some stress taken off of me on the day of.
Some people tell me to go for it, and others think the maitre d will take care of it all....
What say you brides to be??

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
I definitely say YES, i don't want to have to answer any questions that day and I don't want my mom or sister to have to be bothered either that is why I booked one, I want my DOC to be the one handling everything and anything that can go wrong

its a day of coordinator, they are there to handle any problems that can go wrong, if a vendor is late they will call them and find out where they are, if something goes wrong with your dress they will be there fixing it with a needle and thread, just any problems go to them

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
I got one. I love her. She is made of 100 different kinds of awesome. She is there to do EVERYthing on my wedding day, I don't want my family, BP, or anyone to worry about anything... so that's why I got a DOC.
Currently mine is helping me pick out favors She helps me with a lot of vendor questions She will set up the church for me. She is going to help me get dressed She is going to make sure my RH is set up exactly how I want it.

they do but the doc is with you at your home, your ceremony, and i don't think your banquet manager or bridal attendant would hand out final payments or tips

that is also the other thing - they will answer any questions you have or help you out with anything through out the whole wedding process

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
For me personally, I do not feel the need for one. We're having everything at the RH, so we don't need someone to move from place to place with us. I feel like the Matre D will take care of everything; my MD has been there for over 25 years so I have a great deal of faith in him lol
not getting one - i think if you're having a larger wedding you may want one...

I'm not getting one; when I toured and booked Swan Club, I asked about it. Some brides havbe them, some don't. Since our ceremony and reception are all in the same place and the Swan Club has been doing events for years (my dad's prom was there, LOL!), I have full confidence that the day will run smoothly.

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
Francesca from Dazzling Affairs was the best thing I could have ever booked. She is my favorite vendor. You may not need a DOC, but she is a life saver in every sense of the word! She is worth every penny!

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
YES!! I'm so happy knowing I have a DOC. My wedding timeline is very strict and she's going to keep things moving. We're only having a partial day DOC to cut down the cost.
I reccomemend my DOC- Francesca from Dazzling Affairs. I've had such a wonderful experience w/ her so far..she really knows her weddings!

Re: To DOC or not to DOC...
I would absolutely get one!!!
Yes the maitre'd and bridal attendant handle certain stuff, but your DOC makes sure all the vendors are doing what they are suppose to, makes sure everything is set up right, is with you from makeup till your last dance.
We got one b/c I don't want my mother worrying about pew bows or whether or not she tipped the band. I want my family and friends to relax and enjoy the day!
