How many of you are getting an edging done on your veil and how many of you aren't? If you are, what kind of edging are you having done? Just curious.

Re: To edge or not to edge....
I have a big momma edge on my veil and I like it because it is different and my dress is VERY plain so I think it works. The edging width wise actually matches the hem on my gown.
I am taking e pics with patken on tuesday of next week. i'll ask my photographer because i definately want crystals on my veil. i'll let you girls know, or if anyone finds out before then please post!

Don't worry, Im pretty sure that crystals will look just fine in your pro pics. I think the crystals might look black in amateur photos if the lighting is off and the flash hit them in the wrong way.
I have crystals in my headpiece and have photographed it on me a few times (very amateurish) and they never look black.

Stacydz-I think your veil is beautiful! I wanted more of an edge, but it took away from my gown. I've heard that crystals rumor as well, checked my cousins TY pic(from like 11 yrs ago) she had a very 'guido-ish' wedding crystals & rhinestones EVERYWHERE! No black dots! I also heard terrible rumors from florists about those black magic roses. I think the vendors like to freak us out!

The crystals do not look like dots because they are clear. It is rhinestones on veils that look like black dots. I have seen pictures where this has happened. Don't worry though, you can let your photographer know about the rhinestones so he/she can light you accordingly.

Re: To edge or not to edge....
My veil has a scallop edge that is lined with pearls & embroidery . I will have picture really soon. The veil is the same designer of my dress so the color and detail match so well. ( I can't wait to wear it!!)

Re: To edge or not to edge....
I had a thin satin ribbon edge which finished the veil perfectly.
Don't know what it was officially called - my MIL made my veil (for her daughters).
